Join Mist Art Studio at Akin Cooperative for a cozy evening of clay, creativity and wine at our November Clay & UnWined pottery workshop in Las Vegas.
During this beginner-friendly handbuilding workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own ceramic serving plate or platter from clay, just in time for the holiday season.
We’ll guide you step-by-step through shaping your piece and show you different ways to personalize it with organic edges, handles, textures, carved details and decorative ceramic elements.
No previous pottery experience is needed.

Your Finished Serving Piece
After the workshop, Mist Art Studio will take care of drying, bisque firing, glazing and the final glaze firing.
Your finished ceramic piece will be available for pickup at Akin approximately 2–3 weeks after the workshop.
Each plate is made completely by hand, so every finished piece will be unique.

Ceramics is a handmade process, and occasionally pieces can crack or break during drying or firing. We take every precaution possible, but kiln results cannot be guaranteed.
Workshop tickets are non-refundable once purchased because materials and preparation are arranged in advance.
If you're unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else. Please contact us before the workshop so we can update the attendee information.

All orders are insured and shipped thru USPS or UPS. Please allow 2-3 business days for us to process and fulfill your order after the date in which it is placed. Once your order is fulfilled it will take approximately 2-3 business days to be delivered.
At the moment, we are unable to offer international shipping through our website. However, if you live outside of North America and wish to purchase a piece, please contact us directly and we would be happy to calculate international shipping costs for you on an individual basis.
If you need expedited shipping, contact us directly before placing an order and we can calculate those costs on an individual basis.
Refunds + Exchanges
If you receive pottery that has been damaged in shipping, please contact us within 5 days of the delivery date with photos of damaged items. We can then work out a refund/exchange. After 5 days of the delivery date, damaged goods will not be taken into consideration.
Meet the Maker
Hi, I’m Rocio Ruiz, the Argentinian ceramic artist behind MIST Art Studio. My nine-year journey with clay developed during the six years I lived and worked in Mexico. Now based in Las Vegas, I create each piece individually using wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques, inspired by natural forms, everyday rituals, and the beauty of imperfection.
